Ingenue in Dollshe's Tan resins + Her Future Hip Alteration

PaleTan, TanSkin & Ebony Compared ~ sort of.

She-who-writes-this took some quick snaps of Ingenue heads in PaleTan, TanSkin and Ebony while I had them here, and honestly the colour in the photos is not at all like the real thing. I took these outdoors in natural light, but it was overcast I think. The colours, especially PaleTan are much darker in real life; on my screen it looks like Volks Ebony, which is actually much lighter and more orange than PaleTan which is more brown-ish/grey with a slight yellow/green undertone. Hard to describe and it really depends on the lighting, but these pictures are not to be trusted. Be warned!

Handy Skills for Doll Artists: Screenprinting

Indeed there is more to dollmaking than just sculpting and sanding, molding and casting and so on. Especially when you work for yourself in a very small business and are trying to cut costs without cutting on quality, or the safety of the product in transit. Screen is down and read for squeegee.

Ingenue vs IH EID Woman; Comparison

Took the time to undress some of my girls the other day so I could take comparison pictures of Ingenue with an EID. I should mention that my EID has been heavily modified, the head is Evan (a male, the proportions sure are a bit off) with lots of mods, especially around the jawline, and the body was the large bust from NC Jessica, but the bust has been reduced and I have no idea if it is anything like the standard medium bust. Ingenue has the large bust on in these photos. Click "read more" t see the pictures.

IH LightBrown vs. DSC PaleTan

Iplehouse Light Brown and Dollshe paletan are not a perfect match, but they aren't too bad either. Paletan is a bit darker, but I guess the light brown could be blushed to match or alternatively a few coats of MSC on the paletan might lighten the colour. I should take another pic of these two and compare them to Volks Ebony resin as well More thoughts and quick pic below the cut.

On yarn, knitting and noselessness

I saw some yarn when I was at spotlight buying calico the other day, but I didn't have any projects in mind, so I didn't end up buying it. The colours gave me an absolute eyegasm, though. They are *my* colours, the ones I like to dress in, decorate my house in, that envelops this website and that I generally love and that make me happy.
